I completed the Nursing Assistant course at Job Corps. While taking Nursing Assistant classes I gained more knowledge about what kind of things elderly people struggle with such as aging, diseases, death and dying, daily tasks that a person needs assistance with and other struggles. Taking this course has given me a better view of the roles and responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant. Other skills I have picked up are employability skills and maintaining a safe environment. I want to pursue a job in the Nursing field and I feel that my skills that I have gotten while at Job Corps will improve my chances.
